MINUTES OF THE HELPER CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING

Citizen:

The regular meeting of the Helper City Council was called to order by Mayor

Pro-Temp Mascaro at 6:00 p.m.   

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro-Temp Mascaro.

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS: As there was no one present who wished to discuss any non-agenda items with the council, the meeting proceeded as outlined

 

 

 

APPROVAL ON PETITION FOR ANNEXATION AND APPROVAL TO PROCEED WITH ANNEXATION NOTICES AND PUBLIC HEARING.

 

Mr. Robert Farrell declared that he and his wife are the sponsors and contact for the annexation. His address is 5135 North Hwy 6.

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to approve the petition to annex from Robert and Mava Farrell and proceed with the annexation process. Council Member Welch seconded the motion. Motion carried. Buchanan, Gonzales, Welch all voting yes Farrell abstaining.

 

 

 

APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION MATCHING GRANT.

 

Council Member Farrell moved to approve application for Land and Water Conservation Matching Grant for the pool. Council Member Buchanan seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

APPROVAL AND/OR DISCUSSION ON ALLOWING C.E.U. STUDENTS TO HAVE A SPOOK ALLEY ON PARKWAY.

 

 

Council Member Gonzales moved to allow the C.E.U. students to have a spook alley on parkway providing that they coordinate with the Chief of Police. Council Member Welch seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

There being no further business Council Member Welch moved to adjourn the meeting.  Council Member Buchanan seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
