MINUTES OF THE HELPER CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The regular meeting of the Helper City Council was called to order by Mayor Bonacci at 6:00 p.m.   

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was conducted in the Redevelopment meeting.

 

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS: As there was no one present who wished to discuss any non-agenda items with the council, the meeting proceeded as outlined

 

 

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES –  September 16, and October 6, 2004

 

Council Member Mascaro moved to approve the minutes of September 16,

and October 6, 2004. Council Member Welch seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

 

 

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON HIRING OF DEBRA ROWLEY FOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT.

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to approve the hiring of Debra Rowley. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON PURCHASING NEW RADAR’S FOR POLICE CARS.

 

Council Member Farrell moved to approve the purchase of two new radars with grant money. Council Member Welch seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL FOR RABIES CLINIC IN JANUARY.

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to allow Castle Valley Veterinary Clinic to have their annual rabies clinic in the public works building. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

APPROVAL FOR RENTAL ON TRACK HOE FOR SPRINGS PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000.

 

Council Member Gonzales moved to approve the rental of the track hoe in the amount of $1,000. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON REPLACING DECKING ON STAGE FOR $2,600.

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to table this item until funds are reviewed. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON WATER LEAK SURVERY IN THE AMOUNT OF $4200.

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to approve the water leak survey for the amount of $4200. Council Member Gonzales seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

PLANNING AND ZONING ISSUES.

 

No issues to report.

There being no further business Council Member Mascaro moved to adjourn the meeting.  Council Member Welch seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
