MINUTES OF THE HELPER CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The regular meeting of the Helper City Council was called to order by Mayor Bonacci at 6:00 p.m.   

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was conducted in the Redevelopment meeting.

 

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS: As there was no one present who wished to discuss any non-agenda items with the council, the meeting proceeded as outlined

 

 

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES –  August 19, 2004

 

Council Member Welch moved to approve the minutes of August 19, 2004. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

 

 

 

 

P.J. JENSEN ON MUSEUM FLUME.

 

Mr. Jensen told the council while installing the furnace for the museum Mr. Ruggeri discovered that the flume had to be replaced.  The cost for the new flume will be about $5,200. 

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to approve the replacement of the flume using the grant money from U.D.O.T. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON CONTRACT WITH DIG-IN FOR BLUE STAKES.

 

Council Member Buchanan explained to council that Utah Power and Price City are going to contract with Dig-In for bluestaking.  This will be a great savings to the city to sign up with Dig.-In to do the bluestakes for the electric only.

 

 

Council Member Buchanan moved to approve the contract with Dig-In with the new exhibits B. Council Member Mascaro seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON PURCHASING SUPPLIES FOR MUSEUM IN THE AMOUNT OF $1240.40.

 

 

Council Member Mascaro moved to approve the purchase of foam core in the amount of $1240. Council Member Welch seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

 

 

 

PLANNING AND ZONING ISSUES.

 

Nothing to report.

There being no further business Council Member Mascaro moved to adjourn the meeting.  Council Member Welch seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
