MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL HELPER CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The special meeting of the Helper City Council was called to order by Mayor Dalpiaz at 5:30 p.m.   

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON DEMOLITION OF OLD SWIMMING POOL.

 

Mayor Dalpiaz informed the council that Commissioner Krompel said that the county can help with the demolition of the old pool.  The Council all agreed the old pool and the tennis courts must be demolished.  The new pool will be built on the same site and this would help in the cost of the excavation.

 

Council Member Armstrong moved to approve the demolition of the old swimming pool and tennis courts. Council Member Farrell seconded the motion, motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.   

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON PAY SCHEDULE FOR ARCHITECT.

 

Council Member Armstrong told the council that he had talked to Sandstrom on the billing we received for 50% of work done and they reduced it to 35%.   The council agreed to pay the invoice for work done.

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL FOR THE TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY.

 

The council wanted to know if a survey had been done.  Attorney Strate will check with the county surveyor, Council Member Armstrong will check the survey that was done from Barker Assoc.

 

Council Member Armstrong moved to advertise or hire for the topographic survey. Council Member Farrell seconded the motion, motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.

There being no further business Council Member Mascaro moved to adjourn the meeting.  Council Member Jones seconded the motion.  Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present to adjourn the meeting.
