MINUTES OF THE HELPER CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The regular meeting of the Helper City Council was called to order by Mayor

 Pro-Temp Mascaro at 6:00 p.m.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES – June 15, 2006.    

 

Council Member Armstrong moved to approve the minutes of June 15, 2006. Council Member Farrell seconded the motion, motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.   

 

STANLEY CONSULTANTS ON HIGHWAY PROJECT.

 

Bob Jacobs from Stanley Consultants gave council an update on the project.  W.W. Clyde will be the contractor in charge and the project should be completed by November 2007. 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON RESOLUTION 2006-12 SUPPORT FOR AMTRAK.

 

Council Member Armstrong moved to approve Resolution 2006-12 supporting Amtrak. Council Member Farrell seconded the motion, motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present. The Council roll call vote is as follows: Council Members Farrell, Mascaro, Armstrong and Jones in favor with no one in opposition Resolution 2006-12 passed by a unanimous roll call vote.    

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL SWIMMING POOL PROJECT.

 

Council Member Armstrong told the council that there will be a ground breaking ceremony on July 12, 2006 at 1:00 P.M.

 

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON THE HIRING OF JOAN BURGESS FOR DEPUTY RECORDER.

 

Council Member Jones moved to approve the hiring of Joan Burgess. Council Member Farrell seconded the motion, motion carried. Unanimous decision by council

There being no further business Council Member Farrell moved to adjourn the meeting.  Council Member Armstrong seconded the motion.  Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present to adjourn the meeting.
