MINUTES OF THE HELPER CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The regular meeting of the Helper City Council was called to order by Mayor-Pro Tempore Mascaro at 6:00 p.m.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES – September 7, 2006.       

 

Council Member Armstrong  moved to approve the minutes of September 7, 2006. Council Member Buchanan seconded the motion, motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present.  Council Member Armstrong was not present for this motion. 

 

 

STEVE BURGE AND BOB TOPPING ON THE WESTERN ENERGY TRAINING CENTER.

 

Mr. Burge and Mr. Topping could not attend the meeting but, extended an invitation to the council to attend the open house of the WETC on September 28, 2006 at 2:00 P.M.

    

 

 

LON RICH DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON ADDING CLAUSE TO CENTRAL COMMERCIAL ZONE.

 

Mr. Rich told the council that in order for him to get a loan for the Don Carlow buildings they had to be zoned residential.  Mr. Rich asked that the council add a clause to the Central Commercial Zone ordinance that allows or states something about residential.   Attorney Strate informed Mr. Rich that there was a clause already in the ordinance and gave him a copy of the CC-1 ordinance.  Mr. Rich said he would take it to the bank and see if that is what they needed.     

 

 

 

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON SWIMMING POOL PROJECT.

 

Council Member Armstrong said the work on the pool is right on schedule and coming along and the walls should be up next week.

There being no further business Council Member Farrell moved to adjourn the meeting.  Council Member Buchanan seconded the motion.  Motion carried. Unanimous decision by council present to adjourn the meeting.
