Getting a Library Card

You must have a Library Card to check out materials 

     Library cards are free to residents of Helper City, Spring Glen, Kenilworth, and Carbonville, taxpayers, or organizations based in Helper City.  Signature of parent or legal guardian is required for persons under age 18.  To apply for a card, you must have two of the following forms of identification, one with your current address:

  • Valid Driver's License or Identification Card
  • Vehicle Registration
  • Property Tax Receipt
  • Checkbook
  • Bank Statement
  • Utility Bill
  • Voter Registration Card

There is a $1.00 replacement fee for lost cards.

Circulation of Materials:

  • Books: Check out for 2 weeks
  • Books on Tape or Cassettes: Check out for 1 week
  • Videos: Check out for 3 days

There will be a fine of $.10 per day for overdue materials.

Any materials 60 days or more overdue will have a fine of the full cost of the material plus $5.00 processing fee.
