PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The Pledge of Allegiance led by Chairman Paluso.

The regular meeting of the Helper City Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Paluso at 7:00 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES JUNE 14, 2006.

Board Member Jensen moved to approve the minutes June 14, 2006. Board Member Uncles seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Unanimous decision of the Commission present.

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON ZONING FOR BUILDING PERMIT AT VERIZON TOWER FOR CINGULAR WIRELESS

Board Member Jensen moved to approve the building permit. Board Member

Boyack seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Unanimous decision of the Commission present.

DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL ON REVISING INDUSTRIAL ZONE ORDINANCE.

Council Member Armstrong asked the board to look over some changes to the Industrial Zone Ordinance that he thought would be beneficial to the city. The changes would eliminate certain nuisance industrial activities within Helper City by deleting the following from section 11-5-12.2 Permitted Uses: Exclude asphalt and concrete mixing plants, coal yards, and gas and oil wells. Earth moving equipment and equipment storage, gas and oil storage facilities public buildings and public utility buildings craft shops, tire recapping establishments, billboards, accessory signs. Revise paragraph 4 to exclude mines, gravel pits, sandpits, clay pits, rock quarries, rock crushers.

Board Member Jensen moved to approve and recommend the changes to the council. Board Member Uncles seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Unanimous decision of the Commission present.

ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further business Board Member Howell moved to adjourn the meeting. Board Member Uncles seconded the motion. Motion carried. Unanimous decision by the commission present to adjourn the meeting.
